How to connect to UPS/Parcel Pro (shipping with insurance)

You need to provide your Parcel Pro API Credentials and save them in the app settings page. 

Go to Admin > Apps > Jewelry Store > Shipping with insurance section and provide your API credentials.

If you do not have a Parcel Pro account yet, apply for one here.

API credentials are not your regular login and password. It is a different identification and Parcel Pro needs to provide to you. If you have an account with Parcel Pro, but do not have your API credentials yet, you should request them here, or you can email Parcel Pro technical support at techsupport@parcelpro.com, with a message like this, for example:

“Hi, could you please provide me with my API credentials?
I need them to automate my shipping label process with the Shopify app.
My Parcel Pro account #: [provide your account #]
Thank you.”

How to display only MSRP in my wholesale store

Go to Admin > Apps > Jewelry Store.

Under General settings you will find the option to setup your store as wholesaler, which will make your public prices show as MSRP and your private prices only for logged in customer tagged as “APPROVED RETAILER.”

How to restrict access to retailers only in my store

Go to Admin > Customers and find the customer that you want to approve as retailer, in order to sell your products with wholesale prices (customer needs to log in).

In the customer profile page, find the form Tag and tag the customer as “APPROVED RETAILER” and save.

After you save, your customer will be able to see and buy your products with wholesale prices.

1) Associate the Jewelry Types with Your Collections, using the app settings page, going to Admin > Apps > Jewelry Store > General settings section.

2) Update your jewelry with refined details, going to Products > All products > choose your jewelry > More actions > Refine jewelry detail.

3) Visit any collection, or your search page, and check the results.

Go to Admin > Products > All products > choose your jewelry > More actions > Refine jewelry detail, inform all refined details of your jewelry, and upload its medias.

Go to Admin > Products > All products > choose your jewelry > More actions > Refine jewelry detail, and click on the icon of your choice, Image, Video, or 360°, under Upload medias, and then upload all your medias.

How to create 3D images and videos

1) Using a CAD/3D software

Export your CAD/3D file as JPG or JPEG image frames. We recommend from 100-200 image frames from different angles for better results. 

2) Recording your own videos

It is possible to create professional and inexpensive videos using your smartphone or camera. We recommend a high-resolution camera (most of smart phones have it today), a spinner, a mini tripod compatible to your phone and a light box. Everything can be bought online on Amazon, for example.

How to upload 3D images and videos (generate the 360° view spinner)

Steps using a CAD/3D software to generate your jewelry frames

1) Export your CAD/3D file as JPG or JPEG images frames. We recommend from 100-200 images frames from different angles for a better user experience in the web.

2) You must export as JPG or JPEG images file only.

3) The files should be renamed using a numeric sequence starting as “0000_0000.jpeg” (“vertical_horizontal.jpeg” positions) for the top image, and increasing all the way to the bottom image, creating a transition between images and naming (download here samples files, thumbnails with angles, and a list of 120 names as template).

4) After you complete the renaming organization, compress (zip) all the images in one file and upload to your jewelry. Go to Admin > Products > All productschoose your jewelry > More actions > Refined jewelry details > Upload medias (360° icon), and then upload the compressed (zip) file you just created.

5) Wait for the system process your images and then check the results in your storefront.

Steps using video of your jewelry

1) To upload videos, go to Admin > Products > All productschoose your jewelry > More actions > Refined jewelry details > Upload medias (video icon), upload your video, and then wait to the system finishes the upload to go to the next step.

2) To convert them into 360° view spinners, in the same window, go to 360° view spinner tab and convert your video into a spinner.

Wait for the system to process all your medias and visit your jewelry page to see the results.

How to create shipping with insurance labels with UPS/Parcel Pro

1) Go to Admin > OrdersAll orders > choose any unfulfilled order > More actions > Create shipping label and add insurance.

2) Choose the package, method of shipping, additional options, date of shipping, and then click on Buy shipping label.

3) Click on Print label, and a new window will open with your label, inner label and packing slip, ready to print.

How to apply for a verified jeweler account

1) Go to Admin > Apps > Jewelry Store and under General settings go to Apply for Jewelry connection and click on Verified my account, fill and send the form.

2) Go to Admin > Settings > Checkout and set  Customer accounts as optional (Accounts are optional) and save.

Verified accounts are able to publish their catalogs in our sales channel, import jewelry catalog from vendors, and promote their selection of jewelry to our network of retailers connected to our technology in Shopify.

How to use the Jewelry connection feature

Go to Products > All products > More actions > Manage products from Jewelry connection and import or remove all the jewelry you wish.

If you did not apply for a verified jeweler account, fill the form and send your information. After have your account verified, you will be able to import jewelry from wholesalers, wholesale your own jewelry and retail any jewelry.

How to safely remove the app and roll back my theme

1) Go to Admin > Apps > Jewelry Store.

2) Go to the bottom of the settings page, find the section called Safe app removal, and follow the instructions. 

After follow these steps, you are safe to remove the app, and your will avoid any layout misconfiguration in your store.

If you removed the app without a safe removal, and your store layout is not working properly, reinstall the app and follow the steps above.

How do the 3D images and 360° view spinners technology work?

You can upload any set of image frames or video and our system will organize them into a 360° view spinner.

How can I record my own videos and create spinners to avoid the high costs?

You don’t need to hire professional photographers to have professional results for your media. Today, it is very inexpensive and easy to produce the images of your jewelry. After you produce your media, you will be able to upload it to our system which will generate your web videos and 360° view spinners automatically.

We recommend a high-resolution camera (most of smart phones have it today), a spinner, a mini tripod compatible to your phone and a light box. Everything can be bought online on Amazon, for example.

  Shipping with insurance

Why do I need an account with UPS/Parcel Pro?

In order to have access to the best shipping and insurance rates available, you need to have an account with Parcel Pro. You may go to Parcel Pro here and create your account at any time.

After you open an account with Parcel Pro, you need the API credentials which are not your regular login and password. It is a different identification and Parcel Pro needs to provide to you.

If you have an account with Parcel Pro, but do not have your API credentials yet, you should request them here, or you can email Parcel Pro technical support at techsupport@parcelpro.com, with a message like this, for example:

“Hi, could you please provide me with my API credentials?
I need them to automate my shipping label process with the Shopify app.
My Parcel Pro account #: [provide your account #]
Thank you.”

Parcel Pro API supports domestics shipments only from US and Canada. For the rest of the geographic areas, you will be able to use Parcel Pro directly from its website or any other shipping service of your choice.

Is there any geographic restriction to ship and insure through UPS/Parcel Pro?

To use Parcel Pro integrated to our system yes, because Parcel Pro API supports domestics shipments only from US and Canada.

But for the rest of the geographic areas, you will be able to use Parcel Pro directly from its website or any other shipping service of your choice.

I am getting the message "Your label cannot be created if you don't provide a valid phone number for your store". What should I do?

Parcel Pro requires a valid phone number from the “shipping address” to be able to print labels and to insure your orders.

1) If you want to require your customer’s phone number in your checkout, please go to Admin > Settings (bottom left icon) > Checkout and set Shipping address phone number as Required and click on Save.

2) If you do not want to require your customer’s phone number in your checkout, make sure the phone number of your store is entered correctly, because it will be used in case Parcel Pro needs to make any contact. Please go to Admin > Settings (bottom left icon)Locations, inform the correct format number with at least 10 numeric characters and click on Save. If your client provides a non-valid phone number, your store phone number will be used instead.

Is the order status notifications automated to my customers?

Yes, it is, and the notifications will be sent by email and text message (SMS).

If your store is connected to Parcel Pro, every new shipping label will also generate a unique tracking number. Then, our system updates automatically the order with that number, which is provided by UPS or FEDEX.

After that, the customer automatically receives every order status notifications, by email and SMS, including a link to track the order online at anytime, using Shopify native solution.

How can I apply for a verified jeweler account?

1) Go to Admin > Apps > Jewelry Store.

2) Go to the bottom of the settings page, find the section called Wholesale catalog

3) Click on I want to wholesale jewelry.. 

4) Provide your information and click on the button it at the end of the form to send it to us..

How can I select which jewelry to publish as wholesaler?

1) Go to Admin > Apps > Jewelry Store.

2) Under General settings go to Wholesale catalog at the bottom of the page and click on I want to wholesale jewelry and select the jewelry you want to make available for the retailers, adjusting prices and conditions if needed.

How can I select the jewelry to sell in my retail store?

1) Go to Admin > Apps > Jewelry Store.

Our systems were designed for Shopify stores only, which we strongly believe that is the most friendly, inexpensive and complete solution for the industry.

You might need to migrate your store to Shopify to be able to use our app. We can help you with the migration and new setup. To learn more, please email us at support@udt.llc or use the contact page here. We have special conditions to assist stores to migrate to Shopify and use our app.
